The distinction is awarded annually to a local resident or business representative who has demonstrated a strong commitment to the causes of education and youth-related activities in communities served by the district. Nestled under fifty-year-old trees at a playground at Freeman Elementary, now lies the same iconic artificial turf of the Eighth Wonder of the World. Two rolls of Astroturf, weighing over six tons, were recently delivered directly from the Astrodome and installed as part of a beautification project at Freeman.

Pasadena ISD has announced this year’s Summer Food Service Program. The program will offer free breakfast and lunch to children 18 years of age or younger at participating schools. Meals will be provided on a first come first serve basis.
